Algorand node questions
How long until my node is ready?
Ready within 24 hours of payment, usually sooner. Your dashboard shows the sync progress, and your private endpoint appears there once the node is live.
Is there a request limit?
No per-request billing. The node is dedicated to you, so the only limit is what the server can handle.
Which software does the node run?
algod, the official Algorand node software. We keep the software updated through network upgrades.
Does it keep the full history?
No. This is a non-archival node: it keeps the current state and recent blocks. If you need every old block, you need an archival node, which we do not offer for Algorand.
How do I connect to my node?
Send standard algod REST calls to your endpoint, for example GET https://alg-6c9q.nodes.rocketrpc.com/YOUR_KEY/v2/status. Your key is part of the URL, so you do not need a separate API token header.
Will my Algorand SDK work?
Yes. The official SDKs let you set a custom algod URL. Point them at your endpoint instead of a public one.
