Sui node questions
How long until my node is ready?
Ready within 24 hours of payment, usually sooner. Your dashboard shows the sync progress, and your private endpoint appears there once the node is live.
Is there a request limit?
No per-request billing. The node is dedicated to you, so the only limit is what the server can handle.
Which software does the node run?
sui-node, the full node software published by Mysten Labs for Sui. We keep the software updated through network upgrades.
Why is Sui on the big-server tier?
Sui's own docs list a much bigger server for a full node than most chains need, so Sui runs on our big-server tier at a higher monthly price.
How do I connect to my node?
Send standard Sui JSON-RPC calls to your endpoint, for example POST https://sui-8w2k.nodes.rocketrpc.com/YOUR_KEY with the method sui_getLatestCheckpointSequenceNumber. Your key is part of the URL.
Will the Sui TypeScript SDK work?
Yes. The SDK lets you set your own node URL. Point it at your endpoint instead of a public one.
