01Add-on: desktop wallet
A desktop crypto wallet for your coin. Signed, light, ready.
Give holders an app with your coin's name on it. Windows and macOS apps are code-signed, so they open without an unknown-publisher warning, and the wallet starts in seconds because it does not download the whole chain.

02Why it matters
An app people can open without a scare.
Some holders want a wallet that lives on their own computer. The first screen they see decides if they keep it.
An unsigned app
This app may harm your computer
Publisher: Unknown publisher
Most people stop here. Your launch loses them at the door.
Your signed app
Aurora Wallet
Publisher: a verified name
It opens like any other app people trust.
Holders who want an app
Some people trust a program on their own machine more than a website.
No unknown-publisher warning
Windows and macOS apps are code-signed.
Made for Bitcoin-style coins
Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash and PIVX forks.
03How it works
Full-node wallet or light wallet, in plain words.
Every desktop wallet makes one choice: download the whole chain, or ask a node. Yours asks.
Full-node wallet
Checks everything itself. Needs disk space and a long first sync.
Light wallet: yours
Asks your node for what it needs. Starts in seconds.
A full-node wallet downloads the whole chain. Bitcoin Core's own wallet works this way.
A light wallet asks a server instead. Electrum, an MIT-licensed Bitcoin client, is the best-known example.
Yours connects to your chain over RPC, so holders are ready without the long sync.

04Know the field
What a forked wallet has to change.
A wallet for a fork is not a renamed parent wallet. Five settings keep your coin from ever mixing with the original.
- Address prefixSo addresses start with your coin's letter, not Bitcoin's.
- Network portsSo your nodes and wallets never talk to the parent coin by mistake.
- Network IDA unique tag every message carries, so chains never cross.
- Genesis blockYour chain's own first block, not the parent's.
- Coin typeThe number wallets use to keep your coin's keys separate.
Full-node wallet
- Stores
- Whole chain on the holder's disk

What a light desktop wallet trusts, and what is not included.
Light and fast has a trade-off. Here it is in one list.
Good to know
- A light wallet trusts the node it asks. Here that node is your chain's own.
- Keys live in a file on the holder's computer. If the computer is lost without a backup, so are the coins.
- Only for Bitcoin-style coins. EVM, Cosmos, Avalanche L1, Tron and Solana bases use the web wallet.
Not included
- Mobile apps
- App store listings
- Hardware wallet support
- A security audit
- Exchange listings

09Questions
Desktop wallet questions
Real questions people ask about wallets for a new coin.
How does one create a forked cryptocurrency wallet?
A forked wallet needs your coin's own address prefix, ports, network ID, genesis block and coin type. The desktop wallet comes configured with all of them, then built as apps for Windows, macOS and Linux.
How do I create a wallet for my cryptocurrency?
For a Bitcoin-style coin, add the desktop wallet in the builder or your dashboard for $199 one-time. For any base, the web wallet is the browser option.
What is the difference between a full-node wallet and a light wallet?
A full-node wallet downloads and checks the whole chain itself. A light wallet asks a node for what it needs and starts in seconds. Your desktop wallet is a light wallet that talks to your chain over RPC.
Will Windows or macOS warn about an unknown publisher?
No. The Windows and macOS apps are code-signed, so they open with a publisher name instead of an unknown-publisher warning.
Does the desktop wallet download the whole blockchain?
No. It connects to your chain's node over RPC and keeps only the holder's keys and history.
Which coins can have a desktop wallet?
Forks of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash and PIVX. Other bases use the web wallet.
Where are the keys kept?
In the wallet file on the holder's own computer. RocketRPC never holds them. Holders should keep a backup.
Is there a Linux version?
Yes. You get apps for Windows, macOS and Linux. Code signing applies to the Windows and macOS apps.
Will the wallet be in an app store?
No. App store listings are not included. You get the apps to share with your holders.
Does the desktop wallet cost anything each month?
No. It is $199 one-time and needs no server of its own, because it runs on your holders' computers.
Put your coin on the desktop.
