How long until my node is ready?

Ready within 24 hours of payment, usually sooner. Your dashboard shows the sync progress, and your private endpoint appears there once the node is live.

Is there a request limit?

No per-request billing. The node is dedicated to you, so the only limit is what the server can handle.

Which software does the node run?

Zebra, the Zcash node written by the Zcash Foundation. We keep the software updated through network upgrades.

How do I connect to my node?

Send Zcash JSON-RPC calls to your endpoint, for example https://zec-7h4j.nodes.rocketrpc.com/YOUR_KEY. Your key is part of the URL, so you do not need a separate username and password.

Does it support every zcashd method?

Zebra supports a subset of the zcashd JSON-RPC methods, such as getblockchaininfo. Check the Zebra docs for the exact method you need before you switch an existing app over.

Can I use it with my own wallet or exchange software?

Yes, if the tool talks to a Zcash node over JSON-RPC and only uses methods Zebra supports. Point it at your endpoint instead of a local node.
